CFA Lecture: The value of the CFA designation (Frankfurt)

Harald Edele, CFA
Director Capital Markets & Regulation, CFA Society Germany

Date: 16th March 2017, 12h

The CFA designation is the most prestigious professional designation for investment practitioners worldwide. However, it takes three tough exams and several years to earn these three letters. Is it worth the effort? How does the CFA designation pay off in terms of promotions, job offers, compensation and pay-rise, recognition by col-leagues, superiors and clients? How does it affect self-confidence, job security and network?

CFA Society Germany has conducted extensive research amongst its members and written a comprehensive study on this topic in February, 2017, with very interesting results and insights. The lecture summarizes the study’s key findings.

Harald Edele, CFA, is Director Capital Markets and Regulation at CFA Society Germany. He is the Chair of the German Advocacy Committee, a panel of > 20 experts of CFA Society Germany who regularly discuss and comment on current regulatory and Capital Market issues. Harald Edele has 20 years of experience in international Asset Man-agement as well as 5 years experience in international Management Consultancy for financial institutions.
