Due to an unprecedented low-interest phase, loan funds have received a soaring attention in the past few years. Features such as returns above market-level, low interest-rate risk, steady cash flows, and quite stable valuations have attracted a wide range of investors with varying investment objectives. Nevertheless, nothing is for free. There are inherent risks which have to be considered and permanently monitored and evaluated. Jörg Hofmann and Peter Stübner will address the most relevant risks and discuss the implementation of an integrated risk management system which allows to monitor and control the key risks and their drivers at reasonable cost.
