The global competition allows student teams to gain experience as research analysts and compete against other teams from universities around the globe with realistic corporate analysis, valuation, reporting and presentation skills. Experienced CFA® charterholders support each team as mentors.
Every year in the German national competition, a different company submits to scrutiny and analysis through the next generation of investment experts. The best research reports are then selected for presentation to a jury of experts. The winning team gets to represent CFA Society Germany at the EMEA finals and may earn a place in the global finals. A prize of USD 10,000 is awarded to the winning university.
We usually have up to 10 German universities participate in the competition. CFA Society Germany conducted the CFA Institute Research Challenge in Germany for the first time in 2010.
