Sergio Focardi, PhD

Biography
Sergio Focardi is Professor of Finance and researcher at the Léonard de Vinci Pôle Universitaire, Research Center, Paris-La Defense, France. He has taught at the Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland, at The University of New York at Stony Brook, at Princeton University, at EDHEC in Nice. He holds a degree in electronic engineering from the University of Genova, Italy, and a PhD in Mathematical Finance from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. At the University of Genova, he was a co-faounder of CINEF, an interdisciplinary research center on finance and economics.  He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Portfolio Management and has authored numerous articles and books on mathematical finance, including a series of monographs for the Research Foundation of CFA Institute.
The current research interests of Dr Focardi include the development of an economic theory and models of qualitative growth, the role of money in economics, and the use of Quantum Probability in economics and finance.
