Whenever an activist investor appears on a company’s shareholder register, newspapers are full with speculation. But who exactly are those activists? What do they want to achieve? What different styles and strategies do they apply? How have changing macro conditions and trends like ESG changed their approach?
Friederike Helfer, partner at Cevian Capital, Europe’s largest dedicated activist investor, will provide an inside perspective on those questions. She will provide an overview of the activist landscape in Europe, and in particular discuss Cevian’s strategy, contrasting it with those of other activists as well as other investment strategies.
