Biography
Vitor Azevedo is a professor and holds the Chair of Financial Management at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau. He earned his Ph.D. in finance, graduating from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). His work at TUM extended beyond his doctoral studies, serving as a postdoctoral researcher (Akademischer Rat) from 2018 to 2021. His research primarily focuses on empirical asset pricing, behavioral finance, sustainable finance, and quantitative finance. He is particularly noted for applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in asset pricing and other financial applications. Before joining TUM, Vitor's professional background included roles in the financial markets as a portfolio manager and stockbroker.
