Biography
Thomas Oberlechner is an internationally recognized expert in behavioral science and the psychology of investment decision-making. His company, BehaviorQuant (www.behaviorquant.com), provides financial institutions with cutting-edge, predictive data on investment decision-makers, both professionals and clients. He has worked with dozens of the world-leading financial institutions on Wall Street and has extensive experience developing innovative, behaviorally informed financial technology in Silicon Valley.
Dr. Oberlechner holds a doctorate and Habilitation in Psychology and served as a full university professor for many years. He also holds Masters’ degrees in psychology, law, and consulting psychology from the University of Vienna and Harvard University. Dr. Oberlechner's research has been widely published, and he is the author of two books: The Psychology of the Foreign Exchange Market (Wiley Publishers) and The Psychology of Ethics in the Finance and Investment Industry (CFA Institute).
